Today is World Teachers Day! It’s a day when we raise the flag to honor teachers for what parents won’t do, which is to keep and teach their bad ass kids. Yep, it’s true.
School has become a daycare where the teachers get paid little to deal with, on many occasions, not too bright and bad ass children.
There’s not a day that goes by when a teacher doesn’t ask himself/herself, “What was going on in my life that I chose this job?”
Now, now, now, don’t go getting all mad at me. Y’all know y’all really send y’all children to school because y’all don’t want to have to deal with them.
Parents love that seven to eight hour break they get whenever their child is in school.
It is why parents don’t like holidays because that’s the time when they have to do what they pay the teachers so little to do; which is to babysit their bad ass kids.
That’s why I believe we all should show our appreciation for our teachers by not giving them an apple, but by giving them a joint to help them through those also difficult days of having to babysit folks’ bad ass kids.
